The 10th International Youth Research Paper Competition 2026
As we enter the age of AI, the authenticity of research and the integrity of students' research capabilities have become more important than ever.
The 10th IYRPC 2026 does not evaluate only the final outcome. By assessing how research is developed and progresses, we aim to provide participants with objective indicators to evaluate their genuine research readiness through our competition.
Competition Overview
- ■ Hosted/Organized: Education Association for Software Empowerment(EASE), HOBY Korea
- ■ Sponsored by: HOBY Foundation, Green Environment Practice Headquarters
- ■ Eligibility: Teenagers around the world
- - Students from 7th grade to 12th grade as of June 30, 2026
- - Or homeschooled students, GED candidates, etc., of equivalent grade levels
- ■ Participant Unit: Individual / Team (No limit on team size; members can be of different genders, grades, ages, or schools)
- ■ Entry Fee: $50

- Winner Announcement: June 1, 2026
- Awards Ceremony: There will be no separate ceremony; certificates will be sent individually.

2nd Prize – Presented by HOBY Korea (2 persons/teams)
3rd Prize – Presented by the President of the Education Association for Software Empowerment (3 persons/teams)
Special Award – Presented by the President of the Green Environment Practice Headquarters (6 persons/teams)

Paper Submission
- ■ Research Paper Topic & Field: No restrictions
- ■ Language: English
- ■ Papers that have previously been submitted to or published in other competitions or journals are also eligible for submission.
- ■ Submission Limit: Only one paper may be submitted per participant, regardless of whether it is an individual or team submission. (e.g., Submitting one paper as an individual and another as part of a team is not allowed).

Evaluation
- ■ Preliminary Review:
- - Pragiarism and the purpose and scope of AI usage
- Evaluation of topic suitability: Papers addressing excessively political, religious, or ideologically biased topics may be excluded from the main review. -
■ Main Review (including peer review):

- Validity and appropriateness of research methodology
- Reliability of data and accuracy of analysis
- Appropriateness of literature review and theoretical framework2. Logical and Analytical Thinking & Persuasiveness
- Clarity and logical coherence of the research content
- Persuasiveness in the process of deriving results and conclusions
- Originality and creativity (in topic selection, interpretation, and methodology)3. Authenticity of the Research Process
- Compliance with research ethics standards
- Appropriateness of AI usage and level of author contribution
