The winners of the 7th Global Youth Environmental Essay Competition 2023 were announced individually via email.
(Please know that only winners receive the email.) 

This year's competition drew over 1,300 students from 66 different countries, and out of these, 49 were selected as awardees.
 

<Awardees>

• 16 middle school students, 32 high school students, and one in a gap year
• 17 attending schools overseas, 31 attending schools in ROK

Each essay exhibits knowledge, experience, effort, and a passionate commitment to combating climate change and achieving carbon neutrality, accompanied by a high level of writing skill. All submitted essays were evaluated according to the judging criteria and regulations stated in the competition announcement. They were also rigorously checked for content similarity and AI-generated text through Turnitin, a plagiarism detection program used by prestigious educational institutions both domestically and abroad, such as Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and Seoul National University.

The award ceremony is on August 12 (SAT), KST. You will receive the details about the schedule and venue, and how to attend no later than July 30.

66개국 1300여명의 청소년들이 참가한 '2023 제7회 글로벌 청소년 환경 에세이 대회' 49명의 수상자들에게 개별 문자와 이메일 발송되었습니다.

• 중학생 16명 (서울시교육감상 관내 중학생 대상) /  고등학생 32명 / Gap year 1명
• 해외 18명 / 국내 31명 (세종특별자치시교육감상, 제주특별자치도교육감상 관내 청소년 대상, 인천광역시교육감상, 경상남도교육감상 관내 청소년 수상)

대회 공지에 나와있는 심사기준 및 규정에 따라 심사하였으며,

하버드, 프린스턴, 예일, 서울대 등 국내외 유수 교육기관에서 사용하고 있는 turnitin 표절 검사 프로그램을 통해 내용 유사성 및 AI 생성 의심글을 철저히 확인하였습니다.

** 시상식은 8월 12일 토요일이며, 자세한 일정과 장소는 7월 말에 안내드릴 예정입니다.
