A HOBY Academic All-Star will complete the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the spring of 2017 and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. “Outstanding” All-Star recognition is awarded to alumni who have a cumulative GPA of 4.0 or higher. All Academic All-Stars will receive a congratulatory letter with a certificate and official HOBY honor cord to wear at graduation. In addition, each Academic All-Star will be included on the Academic All-Stars page of the HOBY website. We also strongly encourage you to list your HOBY Academic All-Stars status on your college applications.

Please submit your application and transcript by February 15th, 2017. There is a $40 non-refundable application fee that must be included with the application. Please carefully review all qualifications listed below:

• Must have completed the first semester of your 10th, 11th, or 12th grade year at time of applications.
• Must have a 3.5+ GPA on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2015–¬2016 school year, and the beginning of the 2016–2017 year.
• Application, transcript, and fee must be postmarked by February 15th, 2017.

We require a copy of your high school transcript that includes the following: Your full name, school’s name, weighted GPA, and the date. While an official transcript bearing your school’s seal is not mandatory, it is recommended.
